Should animals be used by research?

There has been much controversy about using animals for research. There are many people who believe in those kinds of research and others do not because many of us think that animals have feelings and I am pretty sure everyone knows that. I think they should use other method to do their research instead using animals. In the other hand, lots of people think that it is a good idea to use animals for research, because they use it first with animals and if the medication is good and does not kill the animals they use it for humans. But a lot of animals unfortunately have to experiment a painful process, in which a lot of them are not the same. For that simple reason I say that animals should not be used for research like I said before they should be another way to research instead using animals.
